Zen Society (Kent)

Do you wonder who you would be if you knew more deeply about your mind, body, spirit? Do you feel like you’re often overwhelmed by the streams of information, weight of the pressures of existence whether financial, relationships, work? Well you are not alone.

Zen-Soc, is a great place to further your questions. This is where you can come to find others with whom you can not only relate, but also discover tools, techniques, and ways by which to tackle these aspects of life, not just at an intellectual level, but somatically, practically, in the form of learning proven methods that have helped millions around the world.

Mindfulness meditation deeply improves neural functions, with as little as 8 weeks practice (see the latest research from the Oxford Mindfulness Center 2016). Zen, or Brahman, or realization of the self, is a practice that has stood the tests of time to help ordinary people explore their own awareness and deepen their connection with themselves, and discover peace like no drug, distraction, or hours online can give you.

You will learn not only meditations, but also explore the latest insights from neuroscience, psychology, management philosophies such as David Allen’s Getting things done, used by the likes of Google, and many other cool insights. And you’ll have a platform to share your own journey as well as learn to be a listening ear or a friend to others who come along. There’ll be games, science, art, presentations, meditations, and much, much more.

We explore these ideas and practice in consciousness by solving mysteries. After all, somewhere in this reality are buried our dreams and values, sometimes realized, often out of reach.

Although by no means a panacea, or a replacement for clinical treatments, Zen- Soc and our practices can act as a catalyst towards self-actualization and well-being.

We meet EVERY SUNDAY 6PM AT THE PETER BROWN ROOM, DARWIN (via the missing link road).
